Filipinos are often described as resilient and resourceful, as for any problem or challenge that life may throw us, we constantly hold our head up high to uncover a way to survive in it. People would say compliments and compare us to a bamboo tree which is flexible in facing any disaster, but is it just truly all about this great character of ours? Or it has also became a scapegoat for government’s ignorance towards change and development.
Through the
years, the Philippines has faced all kinds of challenges which resulted to the
increasing rate of poverty. Natural Disasters' overpowering effects,
environmental destruction, and pandemic's drastic changes to name a few.
Despite all these, our country, the Philippines, is still being appreciated and
marked as resilient. But does the resilience of just the people fill the need
of the whole nation's growth we all have been wanting to achieve?
The history
can tell, and everyone needs reflection. What we people and the country must
have is a great leader. Someone who can put our lives in advancement and can
end up having fruitful expeditions. As observed, what we always achieve is just
individual growths and it therefore determines the incapacitated government
running the country to different direction.
Indeed, towards a more resilient Philippines needs not only a citizenry with integrity but a great leader with burning passion to face the uncertainty of the future and put everyone especially the underprivileged ones into a whole new world of development and opportunities.

ReplyDeleteI like how you insert the symbolic "bamboo" in this blog. And that means we Filipinos are capable of standing against all odds. I also agree on what you said, that we need a great leader who can bring us to a bright future. Other than that, I like the full content of this blog. Keep it up:>
